CANBERRA SINGLES!!! This Sunday (20/5), Adopt Don't Shop Foundation with be joining forces with our amazing friends Hear No Evil, Australian Deaf Dog Rescue. Canberra team, at our Dating with Dogs event for local dog-loving singles in the 20 – 30ish age bracket. Forget online dating – here is your chance to do things ‘old school’ and take a chance on meeting your soul-mate in person! All dog lovers know that the best topic of conversation with any new person is dogs, and if you happen to have your own dog you can introduce to the cutie you’ve just met and if your dog shows an interest in their dog, well who knows where things may lead… Because we know that not all dog lovers actually have a dog of their own to help break the ice with a potential new partner, Hear No Evil, Australian Dog Rescue will be bringing along some of their local dogs as matchmakers. Some will be adoptable dogs, others will be local ambassador dogs who aren’t looking for homes but are keen to help with matchmaking - all the dogs know how to play nicely with people and other dogs and will happily be a wing-dog for anyone attending who doesn’t have their own dog to bring with them. Muppet, Lacey, Tucker, Halo and Hippo are already planning their match-making strategies and can’t wait for the fun of Sunday afternoon to roll around! The event has obviously been extremely popular, but there are still a small number of tickets available for the dog loving men of Canberra. If you are a single bloke in the 20 – 30ish age bracket who loves dogs and wants to join in the fun with your own dog or one of ours (we love little dogs, but our dogs are all of the much sturdier large breed, working breed or bully breed variety, so don't be concerned that we're going to share a chihuahua or a shih tzu with you!) then get in now to snap up the last few tickets on our events page! If you happen to be a dog lover outside the age range for the event or if you’re part of the LGBTQI+ community, don’t despair – there will be many more opportunities coming up at future events so you can hopefully meet the love of your life!
